Research Projects
Course Conclusion Paper (TCC): Document that resulted from a study and expresses the author’s knowledge in a chosen subject. This final paper aims to provide students the opportunity to develop a project related to the knowledge acquired in the Dental School and to consolidate their training, experiencing the stages of a scientific work which will give them the experience necessary to their future work. The Course Conclusion Paper is one of the requirements to obtain the academic degree.
Dissertation: Document that represents the result of a experimental work, or the displaying of a retrospective scientific study, with a unique and well-delimited subject in its extension, in order to gather, analyze and interpret information. It is necessary to demonstrate knowledge of the literature on the subject and the candidate’s systematization capacity. The dissertation is one of the requirements to obtain the master’s degree.
Thesis: Document that represents the result of an experimental work or displaying of a scientific study of a unique and well-defined theme. It must be prepared based on original research, constituting a real contribution to the specialty in question. The thesis is one of the requirements to obtain the doctoral degree.
In Dental School because of the Undergraduate and Master’s course it is required at the end of the courses the Course Conclusion Paper (TCC) and the Dissertation, respectively.
