Areas of expertise and Professional Practice

  • Dentists can work in clinics or dental offices, public or private hospitals, basic health units, the Family Health Program (PSF), academic research, etc. Our country shows the need for dissemination and recognition of the dentist’s area of work. There are very few dentists who work only in the private sector; usually they have a public employment and also the office and many are in the universities, training new professionals. Thus, the same dentist fulfills the social role of treating the class that can sustain itself, the one that can’t, and still educates new dentists.
